Regional Gifts

So, how cute are these? Love, love them!

Thank you, Becky Roberts, for the amazing gifts from the Stampin' Up! Regional.

I know she's posted these on her blog inkingidaho.blogspot.com - but I just needed to show them to you also!

How about the gorgeous bag in the background? A gift from the Stampin' Up! convention last year... super cool!

Adorable journals!

We had such an amazing day at the home office - take a waltz over to Stampin' Up!'s home page and you can see a few pictures of the day!

Now, off to place my sneak peek order from the fabulous new catalog that we were given at the Regional (along with a few brand new stamp sets and I also won Stampin' Write Markers in the brand new In Colors along with the most gorgeous buttons!)
Check back tomorrow for a project using them.

Did you know that as a demonstrator, you can order early? It's great fun and you can join in also - right here.

An Embossed Hello - Ten Minute Tuesday

Welcome to Tuesday!
I love to create simple cards in a flash... especially when I've forgotten an important date until the last minute when it's "Oh no, run up the stairs, hope the stamping room isn't too disorganized and then cut, cut, stamp, stamp, whew!!
Made it again!

I would hate to admit how many times I've needed to do that.... (where oh where is that neatly organized basket of premade cards, all separated by occasion?) I actually have one of those but... sometimes I just need something I've not seen before, right?

So this card, which I think is just too cool, is one of those that you can create in a matter of minutes and it's sharp and when was the last time you saw something like this in a card store?

Supplies:

Basic Black card stock - 4-1/4" x 11"
Very Vanilla card stock -    4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
                                     2-1/2" x 3"
Watercolor Paper -      3-3/4" x 5"

Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder
Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder
Versamark ink
Basic Black ink
Embossing Buddy
Heat Tool
Oh, Hello Stamp Set
Extra-Large Oval Punch
Stampin' Dimensionals

Set your clocks!

  • Adhere Very Vanilla card stock, 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" to Basic Black card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Prepare Watercolor Paper for embossing using the Embossing Buddy.
  • Using Versamark ink pad, smear it twice across Watercolor Paper. Sprinkle liberally with Silver and Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Heat with Heat Tool.

  • Adhere this piece to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Using Basic Black ink, stamp HELLO onto Very Vanilla card stock, 2-1/2" x 3". Punch out using the Extra-Large Oval Punch.
  • Adhere oval to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Done!

And a note: This is easily completed using Very Vanilla card stock in place of the Watercolor Paper.... and the size of the Watercolor Paper - well, it just happened to be the piece I picked up!

The Only Item I Would Change...

My Shoes and the New 2013-14 Stampin' Up! Catalog

Alrighty....
I returned home from the Stampin' Up! Regional very early this morning, happily tired after a wonderful day of seeing great presentations, meeting new friends, working with brand new products and (drumroll) the brand new catalog in hand.

I can't wait for you to see all the brand-new, trendy products that are in store for you this year from Stampin' Up!  I'd love to tell you about the coolest new embellishments, ribbons, punches, Framelits, etc, that you won't be able to wait to get your hands on - but I can't.

Not yet... but in a few days I'll be able to start posting projects using some of those and you're going to be very excited. This promises to be an amazing year and I can't wait to start integrating these new products into my Mocha Monday classes, parties and tutorials!

And the shoes....
Well, it's the only thing I would change about the catalog!
I had made a wish list of new products and actually submitted it to the Stampin' Up! sandbox - and every wish came true, and more.

But....
the shoes I would change - I like mine better, lol!

For those of you who are demonstrators and were able to attend the Regional and receive the new catalog before everyone else on the planet, I think you'll know what I'm talking about. For those who lived too far away or aren't demonstrators (why aren't you?) you'll just need to wait a bit.

Thinking about receiving the benefits of being a hobby (or more!) demonstrator? How about $155 worth of your choice of product for $99 with no shipping? Click here to discover the benefits of joining my team!

Okay, okay....
these shoes would do it for me also!

    Happy Birthday in Gold

    Happy Birthday!

I've been wanting to play around with gold embossing on my cards for a while now  - well, gold anything really. I settled on embossing Happy Birthday for today's share.... but I'll be back soon with other ideas also. It's like once you start you can't stop, it's just that pretty - even on a rather masculine card.

Along with the Happy Birthday, I also embossed the Natural 7/8" Trim Ribbon in gold. I used the chevron oval stamp from Oh, Hello to create this great pattern. The buttons, the trim and the stamp are found in the Spring Stampin' Up! catalog.

Oh, and the paper! I love it! Once again from the Epic Day Designer Series Paper that brand new. I could use this paper just about forever.

    An Epic Ten Minute Tuesday

Something new again for Ten Minute Tuesday....
just DSP, stickers and washi tape.

I am so lovin' the new Epic Day Designer Series Paper, washi tape and the wonderful set of stickers that come as part of the This and That Bundle that I completely changed my mind about what I was going to share today. (Oh, the gift tags were cute, cute all right - but the photos not so much)

I thought this made a great masculine card. The sticker is framed with Basic Grey card stock and the front of the card is dressed up with paper piercing.... no stamping, no bling!

Basic Grey card stock 5" x 7", folded in half
    Epic Day DSP 3-3/8" x 4-7/8"
Sticker backed with Basic Grey card stock

Using the Paper Piercing Pack, pierce four rows through the DSP as shown. I laid the sticker there just to help with placement. Adhere pierced DSP to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals - ditto with the framed sticker.

For this card I used the washi tape and a 'You Make Me Smile' sticker that is part of the This and That Bundle. Three Daffodil Delight brads and it's done!

I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack to help line up the brads evenly.... I pierced every third hole so they'd be spaced nicely.

    Congratulations and Mystery Hostess Weekend

    Some of my favorite colors....

Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade and Daffodil Delight are my go-to colors when I want to make a bright, happy-go-lucky type of card.

This morning I wanted to make a bright summery card that would lift the spirits of whomever received it.
Congratulations are for any occasion -
losing five pounds, finishing a project, making a tough decision or just 'for being my best friend'.

I love the new photopolymer stamps that Stampin' Up! is  coming out with (please keep them coming!) This pennant banner can be curved any way you choose and adheres so well to the Clear Acrylic Blocks.  You will need Size I for this particular stamp.

And, today through Monday @ 11:50 pm are free shipping days!
That's right - any order, any size, qualifies for free shipping - directly to you!! That's a fantastic savings and the perfect time to purchase the products you have on your 'I need, I want' list.

As an added bonus, I will be choosing a mystery hostess for the weekend. On Tuesday morning when the totals are in, I will choose from those who placed orders through me over the weekend to receive the hostess benefits. No order is too small for free shipping or to participate in the hostess drawing.

Place your order online here and use the Hostess Code WXEYMCUQ. This will allow all the orders to be combined for a total - just like a party!

If your personal order is $150 or over.... place your order here and DO NOT use the hostess code. You will qualify for your own $25.00 of free merchandise! Now, how fun is that?
